Donna Spicer, Bio

Donna holds an Associates Degree in General Education from Fayetteville Community College, Bachelors in Small Business Management form Western Governors University online, Diploma and Certificate in Biblical Studies and Teaching from Carolina College of Biblical Studies, and Certification/Pedagogy in Music Education from Eastern University online. She has also played in All City of Bridgeport Orchestra, All State Orchestra in Connecticut, University of Bridgeport Orchestra, as well as several church worship teams and local bands in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Vicenzap/Camisano Vicentino, Italy.

Donna has used all of the above experience to teach Violin and Contemporary Piano since 1996. Playing the violin as 1st Violin, 3rd outside chair in London and Wales, Europe, under the direction of Conductor, Dr. Thomas Valenti, was an experience that she hold dear as it began to reveal the trajectory of her musical career. She also functioned as the Founder and CEO of the former REJOICE! Performing Arts Studio in Fayetteville NC, that began in the sanctuary of Calvary Chapel Fayetteville and gymnasium of Fayetteville Christian School in 1996, and ended in 2013 as she prepared to move out of town.

Giving back to Cumberland County and the surrounding counties with her expertise in Music and Performing Arts has been, and is, a deep passion for Donna. Since 1996, she has never stopped. It is equivalent to breathing for her.

With her expertise, and today’s technology advancing at lightning speed, Donna excitedly and effectively teaches Music Education with emphasis on playing the Violin in Private and Small Group Sessions. Teaching effectively online and providing outlets for her students to perform brings Donna immense joy!

When not teaching or performing, Donna enjoys time with her husband, family, church family, and many dear friends that have remained close over the years. She is a doting Grandmother of two grandchildren in North Carolina, and eight in Pennsylvania, thus the desire to serve both states as she lives in one and frequents the other.

Donna is elated to be an Adjunct Music Educator/Violin Instructor with Alpha & Omega Dance Academy!
