Do you want to perform?
If you’d like to perform an original dance piece, sing a song, or you are a teacher signing up your class to perform, continue reading and then click the button below to sign up. The deadline for all submissions is Tuesday, November 26th or until slots are full.
INFO:
This showcase is for AODA members who are 7yo+. To make sure everyone has a chance to perform, dancers may only sign up for ONE dance performance, whether it be a solo or a group dance with their friends. If they are also performing with a class(es) at their teacher's choice, that does not count as their one dance.
All sign-ups AND music must be sent NLT Tuesday, November 26th, and slots will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. If we run out of room, any additional sign-ups will be put on a waiting list.
To ensure we have enough time to create the details for each showtime, no submissions will be accepted after November 26th, and no submissions will be accepted whose music is not sent in by November 26th.
Your music doesn’t have to be a Christmas song, so you are free to pick whatever genre/theme you’d like! However, it must be free from inappropriate verbiage/theme. Your music must be cut and edited (if needed) according to the time requirements below, and the final version must be submitted by November 26th (see form for more instructions on how to submit music). We will not accept uncut music and are not responsible for cutting your music for you.
Song length requirements: Ages 7-10, 1:00-1:30 min. Ages 11+, 1:30-2:00 min. (These time requirements are for individual, group, or class performances.)
The venue is a fellowship hall/gym. Flooring may be more slippery than what students are used to at our studio, but we will provide rosin for those who are wearing jazz/tap/ballet shoes. We do not recommend students wear pointe shoes unless they specifically ask regarding this event and are approved by their teacher. For more questions about the floor and your dance shoes, please speak to your teacher.
